Coming to West Lafayette from SoCal, it is not easy to get a legit Mexican food other than making it yourself here. I tried Fiesta for the first time today and ordered a grilled chicken burrito. I would definitely have to agree that the portions are big and the price is better than Chipotle. Also they have a free enchilada service and that is something I have never tried before. I would have to agree that the enchilada burrito was pretty good.(A bit colder than I might like.) However the ingredients on the side was not that big and the customer service was very rude. It is really not a bad place to grab some Mexican food, but the reason I gave it only three stars aside from the customer service was that, they only have two types of meat available: chicken and beef. (Plus I had better Mexican foods and nothing can compete with King Taco. If you disagree with this, please tell me the restaurant and the order, but it has to be in the states.)

I'm a stickler when it comes to finding a good burrito, and I can easily say this is the best place in town. It's set up like a chain burrito bar (chipotle) style, but the food is far beyond any chain. I'm stuck on the beef, but I've heard great things about the chicken and steak. I'd recommend it to anyone needing a Mexican fix in the area.

i am happy they are here in west lafayette. fresh ingredients, and great price. you get more than better food then what you pay especially when you get the discount with the student card.

For being close to campus food, this Mexican bar is better than the surrounding area, definitely tops Qdoba, Chiptole, and Taco Bell. As a Latina of the Mexicana variedad, I'm not super impressed with the food quality, but I don't really expect much from the Midwest. The food at this bar ranges from an a-ok to "Ay dios mio, why did I waste my money???". They get brownie points though for making their own tortillas though, not as good as Mom's, but you know better than store bought for sure. My favorite is the Veggie Burrito made Enchilada style.

A nice change from the chipotle addiction I have. The tortillas are out of this world - freshly made to order! Their salsas are incredibly unique, however are on the sweeter side. The top complaint I have is that the meats are a little dry and lack proper spice and flavor. Ultimately, worth a try when you've been to chipotle twice this week but still craving that Mexican food.

Think fresh tortillas, think warm burrito topped with oodles of sauce, think pico, fresco and sour cream on the side! I always get the enchilada style burrito, it's the greatest I've had! Quite affordable for the amount of yummy food! Better than chipotle or qdoba. Fiesta Monday's offers $4 veggie burrito enchilada style, which a friend and I go for every week! Haha!

Great place if you're looking for a fast and delicious meal! Get a burrito with grilled chicken or steak, enchilada style. The tortilla is made in-house and is so soft. I've only tried the medium enchilada sauce. It's green and pretty mild. Definitely a great spot on campus. Only downfall is that they are not open on Sunday's.

I read all the reviews for Fiesta and decided I needed to go there. Last night my wife and two teenage daughters went there and had the burritos. They were good. Not fantastic, but good. My picky eating daughter told me that we don't need to go back, but she did not have any big complaints. There is nothing wrong with the food, service or atmosphere. It is all good. However if you are ever in Lawrence Kansas, there is a take out called Burrito King that makes much better burritos. Then there was a place in Minneapolis around 25th street on Hennepin that had really great burritos. After eating these, I can not give this place 5 stars like everyone else. But if you are in the mood for a big fat burrito, go and you should be happy.

Pretty good Mexican food. Always go on Wednesdays when it's 25% off with purchase of a drunk for students. Always get the shredded beef with the hot sauce enchilada style. It's hard to compare it to chipotle but it makes a good slightly cheaper alternative with a different flavor. I'd recommend it to friends.

I was not impressed with this. Bland food, rude service, gloomy atmosphere. Once was enough for me.

I'm from California, where there is no shortage of Mexican food. Whenever I am craving authentic Mexican tastes and flavors, I head over to Fiesta and grab a burrito, enchilada-style. Needless to say, this is the best Mexican restaurant this side of the Wabash, and their reputation is well deserved. Fiesta also draws large crowds of students on Wednesdays, where they offer 25% off of your total meal when you buy a burrito and a drink after showing your Purdue ID, all the more reason to swing by.

Awesome food. They're a bit divey and the ambience ain't great but their food is awesome.Always go enchilada style on the burritos.

Perhaps this is the only place in Purdue where I would prefer to eat a burrito. Not because other places make bad burritos but fiesta burritos are easier to eat as they serve these burritos in a bowl and if you ask for enchilada style, the sauces they add on top of the burrito makes it softer such that you can actually use a fork and a knife to eat it. And these additional sauces on the top greatly enhances the flavor as well.

Best Mexican food in town. I've gone here pretty much every week for the past few semesters. The fresh tortillas and sauces really make it stand out. Good dining area with plenty of seating. Getting a burrito enchilada style is really the only way to go. The other menu items are good but they really don't come close to the burritos.

My husband and I weren't very impressed with this place. Service was incredibly slow and it was very hot in the building. While it was nice to have freshly made tortillas and the pork had good flavor, my husband's steak was bland and there weren't many add-in's to choose from. Also, when I pay $3.99 for a teeny side of guac, at least do me the favor of packing it in. Next time we go to a "burrito subway" we will be skipping this place.

Chicken burrito enchilada style was really huge, havent had a burrito this big.. Get the ranch to top it as it tastes better with it.

By far the nastiest burritos I have ever had. The customer service was absolutely terrible. The person making the burrito just stood there collecting tortillas while there were 5 people just waiting. There seems to be no temperature control in the place and so too hot for me to dine in. Took the food home to eat and after 3 bites I found out I physically could not continue to eat this so called food. It was greasy, had a weird flavor and the grilled steak pieces were as if I was chewing on a bark. Without ANY hesitation put the whole tray in the trash where it belonged. After about 5 hours of nasty feeling in my stomach, finally threw up everything in the toilet. Again, where it really belongs. Absolute waste of my money and time. I am willing to pay 20 dollars for a chipotle burrito then eat fiesta.

Love fiesta!! Get the punch card if you plan to go back. It's like a Qdoba or Chipotle except without the corn salsa and queso. But they do have fantastic fresh tortillas you can see being made in front of you. Always busy during lunchtime. Get a burrito. It's amazing.

The burrito can't be beat. It is the best burrito in Indiana. I eat here every single time I am in Lafayette and sometimes I'll make a special trip just to visit friends and eat here. Since my move to Indianapolis I've tried five restaurants and I haven't found a comparable burrito. I get the same thing every time: A grilled chicken burrito, black beans, medium sauce, enchilada style. You get it, eat it with a fork and knife, and then you're happy. To top this all off, they have Barq's Root Beer, arguably the best root beer you'll get from a fountain (yes it's only Coke products, sorry Pepsi fans). What more can you ask for?

Best burrito ever, legit. Around purdue, fiesta has the best mexican food, their burritos is enchilada style free all week. Some of my friends have their veggie burritos which are 3.99 on mondays, and their medium/hot sauce is nice.. I am looking to try their nachos soon..

We've been eating here at least monthly for 4 years and love it. This is the only place in town you can get a salad dressing like theirs (it's a spicy tomatillo ranch), it's SO good and tastes great not only on their salads but on their burritos as well. They make their tortillas fresh right in front of you and it's something that really makes a difference. You can get a burrito at loads of places in town but nothing can beat these fresh tortillas or their salad dressing.

Outstanding veggie burrito. Get the enchilada style. Service is poor, but the food makes up for it.

I miss this place. =( This place opened up my senior year. Opening day they kept giving everyone free drinks or burritos at like 99 cents each. These burritos are huge, they give huge portions of ingredients on the side. The workers there were so friendly and nice. By the second time I came here, the counter people already knew my face and gave me free drinks for like my first 10 visits. End note: this place is the bomb. Great portions at great prices. I live in Socal now so I have been spoiled with the amount and authenticity of Mexican food here. But when it comes to mexican food at Purdue, i will always remember Fiesta and the good memories.

This place is really really good. Go for the barbacoa burrito (enchilada style), no beans extra rice, MEDIUM SAUCE, and whatever else you want on the side like lettuce, pico, guac, etc. They also have this ranch based sauce that's really good but it's extra.

Oh, jeez. Just great, right? Yeah, guess again buddy, cuz these burritos, chiquitos, quesadillos and tomatillos will straight make a fool out of you (in a non-Machiavellian, post-modern, delightful way)! But seriously, really fantastic Mehicano fare at good prices. I strongly (but not so strongly that you may feel uncomfortable in any way or take offense) recommend you get dat enchilada style BURRITO. Go to this place because, hey, you wouldn't trust your cat with the DVR anyway? Amirite? Again, good food, fair pricing, suitable ambiance.

Yummy barritos, extremely filling! Best part is with the quality and quantity fiesta comes with awesome prices.. not expensive.. and they have weekly deals as well...

Wow! What a disappointment. Out of steak. The chicken is a processed breast. Shower after you leave.

The food is tasy, plentiful, and a good value for the price. Try a burrito enchilada style, it's good! The service was disappointing though. For a Monday at lunchtime the line was backed up to the far wall, tables were not being cleaned, the drink station was a mess, and I'm not sure where to begin with the goings on behind the counter. This was my only visit and the staff seemed irritated that I wasn't ordering as fast as the person in front of me who, I might add, happened to speak spanish which made the staff happy. I may have well been wearing a stamp that said "gringo". I felt uncomfortable and unvalued. That said I'm going to Chipotle across the street from now on. Sucks cause the food was pretty okay.

The tortilla making machine at the front is really cool, a nice touch. Grilled chicken, lettuce, with hot salsa and jalapeños is a great meal.

Absolute favorite thing about this place is they make their own tortillas. They are soooo good! Quesadillas and quac is delicious. Super casual and everything is served in an aluminum container, but still pretty good service.

The Fiesta Enchilada Style Burrito is the best burrito I have ever had. I mean my roommates and I basically basically worshiped it, making the trek every Wednesday to pay homage to this delicious icon. These weekly pilgrimages were a staple of my life at Purdue for two years, and are a big part of the man I am today. In terms of construction, the enchilada style burrito is perfect in every way. The homemade tortillas are fantastic and unique, but the contents within, and sauce on top complete this savory wrap. The Fiesta burrito is unmatched in craftsmanship and deliciousness. So much love goes into each mouthwatering bite. My only complaint is that they don't deliver to San Francisco.

The tortilla was so delicious. Chicken was a little bit bitter and the steak was a tad tough. Over all very good, would definitely come back again.

On my latest trip to the alma mater, I was expecting a liquid lunch with my pals. Instead they took me to a burrito place with a long line. I thought I was going to have to end this friendship until I saw the fresh tortilla machine. The guy put the dough into a flattening machine and then it conveys onto a hot grill. Amazing. My friends said 'enchillada style' is a must. I agree. The enchilada sauce draped over my burrito was fantastic. The burrito was huge, the veggies were perfectly cooked, and I couldn't stop eating. I could barely keep up with the conversation because I was so focused on my burrito. The only downside was the wait. There was an employee on the grill and one on the register. They needed at least one, maybe 2 more to make the line go down. I can't wait until the next time I'm in West Lafayette. Go Boilers!

I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican food, coming from California. It's not good Mexican food if they don't have shredded beef and fresh tortillas. This place meets that criteria and I love their shredded beef tacos. It's packed at lunchtime and Closed on Sundays. Best Mexican food in town, hands down!!

This place is easily one of my favorite places to eat, and you will quickly learn I'm not a stickler for fancy dining, I just like good food. Fiesta prepares their burritos as close to homemade as I have found. They make their own tortillas and sauces, as well as having a variety of fresh accompaniments to top or stuff in your food. I've heard the tacos and quesadillas are good, but I order a burrito every single time I come here. Why mess with something so good? They let you choose your choice of fillings including rice, two types of beans, and multiple meats (including a great grilled steak or roasted pork). Then you can choose to have your burrito enchilada style, and let me say right now, do that. They top it with a sauce of your choice (green tomatillo, green chile, or red chile), sprinkle it with cheese, and bake it. Then you can add salsa, sour cream and a few other sides if you wish. This place has become somewhat of an obsession at work, with "Fiesta Trips" happening every other week. The food is outstanding. The grilled steak burrito is my current favorite, with green chile sauce on top, which adds just the right amount of spice and lends great flavor. If you live in Lafayette and have not visited here, you are truly missing out.

I've walked past Fiesta more times than I can count in the past few years, and always see tons of students enjoying it. I finally made it through the door, and I'm glad I did! Watching the tortillas being made right in front of me was the hook. YUM. The burrito was fabulous and, perhaps most importantly to an old lady like me, I had no sodium hangover after enjoying it (Chipotle and Qdoba sodium overload is the main reason I had avoided Fiesta for so long.) I got my punch card. I'll be back.

This place is the best. Best burritos, best soft tacos, and best quesadillas. They make the tortilla fresh, in front of you as you walk in the door. The sauces are good to boot! All around, my favorite campus food.

BEST burrito place in northern Indiana. This is my favorite place to eat in West Lafayette. GREAT portions: I always leave stuffed Good price: Comparable in price to all other burrito places Awesome service: The staff there is super nice Good environment: Great place to have dinner or lunch with a friend or group. It is kind of hidden in chauncey near the library. I cant believe it wasnt even on yelp! try a chicken/steak burrito enchalada style.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
